i have to write a paper over this, can anyone help me??

Well both produce energy, or better yet transform energy into a form that can be used by the organism. They're both very complex chemical reactions, however, well... they actually are very similar in nature... Conotrast the specifics, like one takes carbon dioxide to produce oxygen and vice versa. In fact I'd reccomend stating in your conclusion how dependant the two are on their relationship with one another.

Basically, in photosynthesis, plants use the energy from the sunlight to combine carbon dioxide and water to form sugar (glucose is C6H12O6).

Plants and animals all use cellular respiration to "burn" glucose to produce the form of energy used in cells, ATP. This is most efficient in the presence of oxygen, and basically the glucose gets broken down to the original constituents, carbon dioxide and water.

Thus, in essence, the two processes are the opposites of each other

4. is carried on by some bacteria, algae, and plants

Cellular respiration:
1. releases energy by breaking down molecules of glucose
2. uses glucose and oxygen; releases carbon dioxide and water
3. happens in the mitochondria
4. is carried on by every living cell

All I would say is that they are the reverse of each other.
