YOU MUST PAUSE B/W REPS...unless u want to injure urself in the future....plus if u dont pause b/w reps u will not tone and build muslces as fast and healthy as a person that does pause. i know it can be a pain to just pause when u feel like doing them all at once...but just think about the turtle who won the run. Slow and steady. Life is always so rushed workingout should be a time for urself to slow down and relax. I have friends that are professionals and they know that a little pause goes a long way when u want to look good....plz give urself and ur body the pause b/w reps (this helps ur body recover from the workout and prepare for the next one). Good luck and stay heathly but safe.

yes it is safe. but I would think that if you can perform each rep of every set without pausing then you aren't using sufficient weight. unless you are training strictly for endurance but you made no mention of how many reps you are doing.

the last couple of reps of each set should be taxing while still keeping proper form. if your goal is say 3x10 with 150 lbs on a certain exercise. if you get all 10 reps on the last set then the next training day you should be increasing the weight by 10%. unless you use progressively higher training loads you won't see optimum gains in strength or in muscle mass

this depends on what your asking. If you are doing supersets then yeah its ok to not rest. ex. do biceps curls then immediatley follow with triceps pushdowns. But if you just want to finish fast and not rest between sets then instead of doing 3 sets of 10 you would just do 30 reps. This totally screws up the results you might want. If your looking for strength do 1-5 reps with 1-3 minute rest periods between sets. If you want muscle growth (hypertrophy) do around 8-10 reps with 1 minute rest periods. If you want to train for endurance or "toning" for women then do 15+ reps. With <1 minute rest periods. To answer your question you will have to drop the weight you are lifting if you want to not rest between sets, therefore keeping you further from gaining much muscle mass (which I assume is your goal).

i'm particular some physique builder or very own coach supply you the final answer on your question. yet until eventually then, this is what i grow to earnings: You raise heavy weights with minimum reps for development rapid explosive capability. You raise gentle weights with various reps for development persistence. be conscious I suggested that grow to be what i grow to earnings. It does not mean that this is appropriate.

I think if you don't rest between sets you could possibly become too tired and therefore not finish your reps with the proper form. Just my opinion.
