Scoffers...
I have noticed since becoming a Christian (Bible believer: unfortunately we need to make it clear what KIND of Christian) how ANGRY atheists/evolutionists get... I mean just look at this religion group, there are a ton of them.
Their anger at Christ PROVES the Bible true... I can stand in the market and talk loudly about Native spirituality, no one cares, I can preach anything and it is widely accepted. But I mention the name of Christ, and immediately people hate and scoff and get angry!!! And the preaching is that Christ DIED FOR you... why would anyone be mad at the thought of GOD dying FOR you so YOU could go to heaven? It is kinda neat to see the Bible proved through all of you. Truly and honestly ... thank you.
But I do wish you would just hear out the Gospel Don't get so angry, Christ died for YOU. But the Bible does say thay will hate you for my name's sake. So I will not read the immature retorts... take care draw near to God and He will draw near to you

Good point. Even more than the scoffers, which have always been, is the reaction to the living testimony of believers.

They say where is your proof? My answer is that we all are the proof. I am His proof. They don't like this; but are drawn to it like sharks to fresh blood or mosquitoes to carbon dioxide. (Without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.)

They would be happy if we complied with their belief system and moved to mythology and folklore. That would leave their pagan position and their imaginary 'scientific high priests' in charge.

They cannot just go away; because they are not free men. They are bound to this activity. In less dated terms, what we see here is a negative symbiosis; which men always display when they reject their maker.

The only thing that this proves is that people see patterns. They look at history and see The Crusades, The Spanish Inquisition, The Holocaust, etc. More people have been killed in the name of Christ than anything else. It only makes sense that people get touchy when hearing about Christ.

I'm Christian, but I understand why people are touchy about this subject. Let people find God on their own time. Preaching only pushes (the majority of) people away.

No, you are wrong. they scoff and get angry because they are told that God died for them, but then they are told they will go to hell if they do not obey. Were all carnal human beings, and none of us are without sin., so when they find that sin is controlling their lives, then they begin to scoff and deny God. But the very ones who tell them they will go to hell, are driving these young people to paganism, atheism, wiccans, what have you, instead of saving them ( as they say). If they only knew that God loves them regardless of their sins, and thats why His Son died on the cross to save the world (all people). Hell was a pagan belief of the Egyptains that the early (Roman) Church adopted to controll the people. These young people are smarter than we give them credit for. They can see the contradiction between a loving, forgiving, merciful, and full of grace God, and a God who burns and tortures in a place called hell. God is our Father (all of us), and what loving father on this green earth would do such a thing to his children?Oh....but God can ! (according to most people) No, it is not you that most people hate for His names sake. It is me most people hate for His names sake because I speak truth. And you have made it clear of what kind of a Christian you are. Someday these very scoffers and angry people will begin to search for truth, and hell can be thrown into the lake of fire in their minds, just as God intends to do in Heaven. Most people don't know what the lake of fire is, they just sit in a pew and follow the Churches traditional beliefs. Paul warned us this would happen, that men would creep in with damnable fables. He could even see it beginning to happen during his lifetime. We are commanded to love our neighbor, and love doesn't torture and burn our neighbor for eternity.

I was a "true christian" for years. Christian school, preacher's kid, the whole shebang.
I gave "the gospel" a chance and you know what I got? 17 wasted years of wondering why god didn't love me enough to answer my heartfelt prayers. Then I realized if I wanted anything to happen in my life I'd better get off my duff and make things happen for myself.
And that has made all the difference.
Feel free to block me for having a differing opinion. That seems to work for others...
Peace

Whenever I speak about atheism and the lack of god people get angry and try to force me away. Therefore that proves the fact the bible is false.

I do wish you would listen to reason and not get angry. Other people wrote it for YOU. But the bible does say you will hate me for my name's sake.

musingaloud, I understand your view, but I respectfully disagree with you. I do not believe that athiests' opposition prove that the Bible is true. I do believe that we are told in the Bible to expect opposition from our enemy, and our enemy is using this small band to work for him.

But that in and of itself is not proof.

We do not really need to prove the Bible is true at all. That is why we have faith. It can not be proven nor disproven (try as they might). Jesus said, "Blessed are those who have not seen, and yet believe." (John 20:29)

I believe in God, but not because someone proved God's existence to me.

I believe in God, because I have been forgiven of all the things that I have done to separate myself from Him.
I believe in Him because He has shown his love to me in Jesus.
I believe in him because I have received his mercy and compassion.
I believe in him because he rescued me...from myself.

More importantly, I love Him because he first loved me.

I noticed that too. I was actually thinking about that today and yesterday. There is SO many things that prove the Bible to be true, and evolutionists and them rule it as strong coincidence. They FOUND Noah's ark though. I'm thinkin thats no coincidence.

blah blah blah - NOBODY hates Christ. What we do not like are the hipocritical people who claim they are followers of Christ. Our anger proves that people such as yourself are annoying - that's all. The bible is fiction. To bad Jesus couldn't get better press. The writers of the bible are like the "journalists" of Fox news today.

Well, some Atheists/non-believers get annoyed whenever there is someone who cannot respect their beliefs (or lack thereof). And lay off the Caps Lock -- you do look like you're yelling.
