Well.. that's just how it goes... Yeah they have disappointed me some... but I'm still hopeful they'll buck up and crack a few books.
Look at it this way though, if they ever do take the time to read the bible, (or read it a second, third or tenth time if that's what's needed,) perhaps they'll eventually learn that it's just a great crock - maybe they'll see it it for what it is rather than what their told it's worth; and, since they really don't know the half of what they think they know, never having thought it over properly, they might begin to come around to the idea of being better world citizens and help the rest of us plan for and build the Earth-Eden we'd all like to have. That'd be a lot more fun than what we're doing now.
It could happen. Of course, I'm not holdin' my breath...

Theists have never disappointed me - you click their 'on' button and off they go.
Fish, kittens and children are amusing to watch but for the ultimate decadence there's nothing like mixing it with a xian.
I know I'm cheating by using Logic and Reason AND my brain (I'm hard-wired to use it), but it's still lotsa fun.
Whether they use references to Circular Logic or their Goat Herders' Guide to the Galaxy or their VERY SPECIAL version of Invisible Sky Chappie, it's just a laugh a minute.
I especially like how they are able, with consummate ease, to discount the existence of Allah, Thor, Zeus, et all by using a special brand of 'logic' and THEN, with then next breath, claim their version of Invisible Sky Guy really does exist and anyway he can p*ss further than all the others.
Do you realise that this scam, sting, con, is the only one supported by many governments - that means we, through tax breaks (they pay NONE), WE help fund them whether we're theists or not AND it's the only madness, delusion, psychosis that psychiatrists, psychologists won't sent you to the nut-house for AND most prospective employers see the belief in Invisible Sky Monsters as a plus.
You just couldn’t make this sh*t up.
[/end rant]

Young earth creationists claim that Adam was created as an immortal being , and it was when he ate from the tree of knowledge, that he became mortal..
However, there appears to be no biblical proof of their interpretation. Except this line
First, before Adam sinned, God warned him not to eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. In the warning, God told Adam that "in the day that you eat from it you shall surely die." (Genesis 2:15-17)

The majority of Christians have not read the entire bible.
The have some pretty crazy beliefs and aren't able to back them up with any verses. They will say things as if everyone knows its true.
The Christian will say things like 'Evil comes from freewill' or even 'Evil comes from Satan' when nothing in the bible supports either belief.

Adam would have been created in perfection. He was made in God's image, perfectly, but with free will. He would have lived free from harm, injury, disease, and death if he hadn't eaten of the forbidden tree of knowledge. That one act is what condemned his body to die. So maybe not immortal in the sense of "can't be killed" but immortal in the sense that God would have allowed him everlasting life without ever dying and entering Heaven.

It's the atheists which have disappointed me.
They got suckered into war, by many X-ians.
If atheists are so 'wise' then they should 'know'
winning any sides war as disastrous as losing.
Both sides get inducted in the hALL of shame.
It's sow Hatfields -vs- McCoys vs the McCoys.
It's sow schoolyard bully to do such to anyone.
It's NEVER ok to victimize or to belittle anyone,
and shouldn't be tolerated even among children.
I'll take you all on and whoop yer divided @sses.
Come and try me on in public forum if you dare:
http://pub30.bravenet.com/forum/2526810710/
McCoys may be bewitched(NOT brainwashed),
but they're still brethen on earth is round: globe-all.
Paul The Apostle never failed to call them brethren,
even if they were ignorant, bewitched, deceived, etc.
For allegoric mystery he called Hebrews holy brethren.
As for your scripture quote and interpretation,
you too missed the TAKE HEED 101 Class;
purpose thereof being not to get deceived,
or suckered, or tempted, or bewitched.
You're so puffed up with highmindead law law,
you too can bend over, dble kiss @ss bye bye.
For Christ's sake ppl, it's AD--->only goes 1 way,
unto the perfection at the end that's already written:
The grace(only) of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you->all. Amen. (Pst: grace is WITH you all; law is AGAINST you all)

Cam'on, this is a book written by some bored men. Don't take it too seriously.
Theists just believe what they are told. They don't think much about whether it makes sense or not, otherwise there would have been no theists.

All the time. Almost every time a question is asked or answered. I won't say all of them do, but the vast majority. But then again it reaffirms my "faith" in being an atheist.
