So I just got fired from a job I really liked for a really, really dumb reason. Does the Christian god hate me? Or is it just Loki playing a trick? I'm burning my incense to Buddha and trying to stay calm, but I'm really, really mad right now.

Geez, lighten up, Just Me. It's called a joke. Get that stick out of your butt.

It wasn't my fault. My manager's a bag of douche and the entire thing was incredibly unfair, all the other employees said so.

Thanks to everyone being nice and realizing this is my goofy way of asking for a little sympathy. :) To everyone who can't take a joke, well, sorry.

Ok, ok, you all want to know the reason?

I came into work no more than five minuets late today. My manager told me it was "unacceptable," then fired me. That was the reason. Told you it was stupid.

Don't blame your own actions or performance.. It must be someone else's fault.. Jim

Hey it's just life. Life doesn't keep score, doesn't have any special plans for you, doesn't feel pity or mercy, happy or sad.
Because life is what it is, chance and change are always mixing things up - can't let everyone get too comfortable or they'll stop growing.

If You want a god to blame - blame the one that's currently in power:
THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR

Oh. You want sympathy? Why didn't you say so?

Oh girl, I'm so sorry..that totally sucks. Why do bosses have to be such hard asses? Stuff happens you know, can't they understand that a 5min delay from time to time is impossible to avoid? ..... It's just not fair, you didn't deserve that.
Screw that jerk! I'm sure you'll find a better job w/a nicer boss real soon.

How's that?

Sorry about the job loss. Burning incense isn't going to change your circumstance. If you don't want the frustrating lesson to be a waste, see what you can learn from it. Were you on time? Did you do your best? Do you need to give an apology to anyone? If not, forgive and move on. Maybe there is something even better than what you had!! But, you can't give your worship to Buddah and then blame God.

The God that got you fired must be the same God that got you the job. Try getting a job on your own and doing a good job at it.

Your being late was just the last straw. You don't get fired for being late once. And Buddha is not a God: Read up on Buddhism.

What a great question.Nobody can answer it. It's the same as the School Bus full of kids goes off the road and down a 1000 foot cliff. All the kids on the bus were killed except for little Sally. Sallys mother said "Oh thank you God for taking care of my little girl". What God was she talking to?. And why did he let the other kids get killed? There should be some real DisneyLand answers for this.

I understand that you are mad but you shouldnt blame god. Im starting to learn things happen for a reason, you may not know what it is yet.

For the job, there are other ones out there. Keep your eyes open, ask friends, do apps over the internet.

James 1:12 "Happy is the man that keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving him. 13 When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire"

Eclessiastes 9:11 "I returned to see under the sun that the swift do not have the race, nor the mighty ones the battle, nor do the wise also have the food, nor do the understanding ones also have the riches, nor do even those having knowledge have the favor; because time and unforeseen occurrence befall them all"

God has nothing to do with your failure. You did it to yourself and by blaming God is gonna make you feel ok , for letting yourself be fired. Do all you can to stay calm. You need to self analyze yourself and ask, what could have you done to not let this happen. I would be mad too. But very mad at myself. It is your fault and that is all there is to it. Ask God to Forgive you.

Maybe it is just Karma. Maybe you did something bad in the past and Karma wanted to screw you over when you the most happy.
Chances are though, if you got fired for a dumb reason, that means they were just trying to find something to fire you for. If someone is a good worker and good at their job, you don't fire them over something little. You write them up, and give them another chance. Sorry, but it was probably your attitude.

don't blame god.
join us in the belief that any god you chose to believe in gave us this gift of a life on earth for you to live without any interference.
we except life's up and downs as our own, sometimes other people get in the way or we do make mistakes that cause others to react to us in a negative way.
we don't have a structured religion or a church, we believe because it's our choice, not anyone telling us what we must believe, and everyone else is wrong.
we accept everyone without question.
if you would like to discus this or anything else contact me.

Dont think too much about it, a better job is waiting for you. Soon you will know, relax and ponder inwardly. Enjoy the shortness of life, let God be your trust and a hand of peace. There is everything in his kingdom, just open yourself to it!
