yes I think there is.
Christians are called to take the high road without compromise "it is what is is" so to speak. For example, a true Christian will say that abortion is unethical because according to the scripture, all human life is precious and to be valued.
Human ethics will define abortion as a 'right'. And of course, human rights are valued on a greater level than the individual.

this is only one example, there are many.

Well really it depends on the time period slavery used to be accepted by all peoples then Christianity said it was wrong and a few centuries later it was wiped out for the most part. Christians say that pre-marital sex is wrong but other people say it's fine. All Christians say it is wrong but a lot others say it is OK. To respond to mastercnst24's answer personally I have no problem with that research because why make those aborted babies deaths go to waste it's situational so don't go making blatant stereotypes based off of a general value I don't believe is solving problems with violence but if someone puts a gun to my mom's head I would blow their brains out. Christian ethics go a step further than general human ethics according to most getting drunk is OK Christianity says it isn't, just like getting high is wrong according to Christian ethics they aren't lazy ethics by any means they go a step further making you think more about right and wrong rather than your own personal gain.

Yes. In my philosophy class, we learned a lot about human ethics. This was a very liberal viewpoint of course, but there were a lot of discrepancies between the two. Here is one example that stands out in my mind. We had a hypothetical situation in which you could either kill a baby, and potentially save 1,000 lives from studying a rare disease she had, or you could simply let the baby live. From a Christian standpoint, of course you would let the baby live. God gives life, and we have no right to take it away. From the human ethics standpoint, you would most definitely kill the baby for that potential to save 1,000 other lives.

Human ethics have evolved into:

If it feels good DO IT!
If it does not hurt anyone else DO IT!
Do unto others as they would do unto you, IF THEY HAD HALF THE CHANCE!
He who has the most toys WINS!
I deserve the VERY BEST!

Christian ethics are:
Love the Lord your God with all you HEART, MIND, SOUL AND STRENGTH!
Love your neighbor AS YOURSELF!
Do nothing TO OFFEND a fellow believer!
Do nothing that would lead a FELLOW BELIEVER ASTRAY!

Christian ethics state that only Christians ethics can be human ethics, and that you're not as good as them if you don't believe in their stuff.

There shouldn't be. Ethics are ethics. But normally, human ones are things like "be nice", "don't lie", "help out". Christian ones are more hard core like "no premarital sex", "no impure thoughts", "don't do something in private that you would be ashamed for the world to know about".

Yes, there are differences.

Christians ethics are lazy ethics spoon-fed to their converts by people re-interpretting ancient books written by religious fanatics who lived in a time when slavery was considered ok, children were chattel, and women were property. Of course, this is true of most religions.

Humanistic ethics are general heuristics whose focus is what is good for humanity. Because this is not set in stone, you actually have to think about it. And when you disagree on whether something is good or not, you actually have to discuss it and debate the issues, instead of just accepting the answer of "God said so".

Instead of following old lists of what is right and wrong, according to old fanatics, humanistic ethics address why something is right or wrong.

Of course........all Christians are human, but not all humans are Christians. By professing to be Christians we are held to a higher accountabilty.

This is an oversimplied example but, a human could say , I did nothing wrong therefore I am not guilty. A Christian would say I failed to do good, therefore I am guilty..............

in basic terms 2 religions: God's way and guy's way. whilst guy we could self rule fairly of God rule, then guy is following the methods of guy. God suggested that "without faith it is impossible to thrill God." faith comes via listening to and listening to the be conscious of God. Christians are commanded via God to benefit His be conscious, the Holy Bible. those days whilst mankind all started asserting that the Bible were copied too many circumstances to be precise, God had a shepherd boy on the Qumran Caves discover 2000 3 hundred and sixty 5 days previous copies of the Bible to teach guy incorrect. the subject with Christianity isn't all Christians save on with the be conscious of God, they p.c.. and decide what they choose and what makes them happy so as that they are able to proceed their sin. some don't think that God is waiting to guard His be conscious, the Holy Bible, so as that they have not got faith each and every thing written in it is of God. some deny the virgin delivery. some deny the dying, burial and crucifixion. We could have faith all of it or none. God is bringing all mankind all the way down to a Valley of determination and mankind will % the two God's methods or guy's methods, yet guy won't be able to have it the two methods. Why could God prefer to spend eternity with a set of rebellious toddlers?
