I asked this before and got no good answer.
What passage in the Bible forbids lesbian love-making?
Roman 1:26 doesnt answer the question. It only puts it at negative light at best (let alone its not the point leading up to it), but doesn't forbidden it.

m_ryan - you are right, it doesnt satisfy my question because one can see textually that my assessment is correct. Your response makes no refernce back to the text but only shows you're relying on your unshaking beliefs.

The entire passage deals with believing in God with the byproduct of LUSTFUL love. Do people really think people are homosexualls just for the physical attraction? No - homosexuals are perfectly able to love each other as any man and woman in marriage.

And no, when the bible mentions man, it means masculine man or at least in Roman passage. Or else they wouldnt use the word women in the passage.

jewl adi - my question was specific to lesbian for a reason. THere are tons of lines in the bible against man and man but I wont go into the reasons why it does. If you cant counter the woman and woman question, ill take your answer as your perception on Christianity based on fundamentalist views.

Sodom was about denying hospitality to benifactors of mankind. Jesus Christ himself stated it in mathew 10:5 - 15 that it was about hospitality.

Miles P - Please tell me which part of lesbianism that "is equivalent to a nuclear explosion to the person, family, and general population." It seems that the wedge that is driven between the lesbian and god is social condemnation itself.
Roman 1:26 - "follow their own evil desires" - why is that exclusively lesbianism? THe entire passage itself names the true evil to be Disbelief in God. And if you ever bothered to follow the latin text, natural and shameful does not indicate against Natural Laws of man, only the "uncommon practice" and social rejection of it.

Romans 1:26 seems to condemn the act of women having sex with another woman.
And Jesus seemed to say that the only form of sex permissible before God was sex between a male and a female who were married (Matthew 19:4-11).
===edit===
If you don't think that Romans chapter 1 condemns lesbianism (it only puts it into a negative light) then consider the entire context, including the preceding verse 18:
"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness"
If it incurs God's "wrath" then it must be forbidden.

You are missing the point. If God says we shouldn’t do something that means there is something in the act that is equivalent to a nuclear explosion for that person, family and for the general population! It produces devastation and drives a wedge between God and the person he loves so much.
26God let them follow their own evil desires. Women no longer wanted to have sex in a natural way, and they did things with each other that were not natural. 27Men behaved in the same way. They stopped wanting to have sex with women and had strong desires for sex with other men. They did shameful things with each other, and what has happened to them is punishment for their foolish deeds. _ Romans 1

It's very clear in God's Word that He made male and female to be sexual partners. Leviticus 18:22 and Lev. 20:13 Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuality. Check out www.3abn.org We are to love each other of the same sex, but not sexually!

Man are you dense! Here's the passage for everyone else to read just to show how dense you are:
Rom 1:
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator— who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones.
27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
28 Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

Sorry, Sport, can't agree with you on this one...
Let's face the truth...homosexuality, whether it is girl on girl or man on man, is condemned in the Bible as sinful.
I know, there are as many "loopholes" as there are rats looking for a way to do their own thing and still swing with Jesus...
But, honest...it really and truly doesn't work that way.
Nice try, though...

why bother christianity about that? well if you want to be a christian and be open to lesbianism uhhh forget it,
why are you looking for the exact words in the bible? you are that desperate, are you? you're just trying to justify what you would like to do, or what you are already doing...
sorry i even bothered to answer, or uh type, i have nothing else to do here..=)

No. When God says that "man shouldn't lay with a man as he lays with a woman", it means the same vice versa. When God uses the term "man", the term also applies to women.

If God puts something in a negative light, it should be assumed to be BAD and therefore you SHOULDN'T do it. Geeze. I feel like I'm back in first grade, where we actually have to explain these things.
