Yes, to test our free will. He created prostitutes, alcohol, chocolate, fossils and masturbation for the same reason.

Actually, tobacco is an insecticide and was used as for many years. I read that natural organic tobacco is not addictive and in the old days was used for medicinal purposes. I do not know if that is true. I just don't understand why the cigarette companies had to add all those killer additives. God didn't do that part, greedy corporations did so I guess our free will comes with the routine temptations of mankind and if we choose to destroy Gods temple (our bodies) then that would be our own sin. Just a thought!!

You might as well ask why God created all the other drugs, including coffee. I am sure God didn't know that some fool would start smoking the tobacco.

There is nothing wrong with the tobacco plant, only the way we use it. So I guess you could say that humans sin by using a plant God gave us to do bad things with. Hope this help some.

Tobacco in its original form is not bad. What's bad is all the addictive chemicals mixed in with it. Besides, tobacco comes from the Indians and they weren't Christians until the European invaders subjugated them.

There are very logical motives for our bodies various actual urges rather break away the theological ones propagated by potential of any faith. in case you think approximately the excuses at the back of the urges that reason us to masturbate, working example, you will see that it rather is an exceedingly organic component and a mandatory function which could be performed many times with a view to maintain us healthy. non secular leaders in the process the classic circumstances suppressed sexual urges as being a sinful violation of our bodies. a technique or the different this approach has caught with Islam and Christianity in spite of the overpowering scientific evidence which shows (and proves) that self-intercourse and different varieties of sexual habit are healthy expressions of our bodies potential to supply us excitement. Sexual repression is a complicated burden to stay with and the evidence of its failings is witnessed each time a clergyman is convicted for molesting underage parishioners. our bodies choose intercourse purely as much as they choose food or oxygen. If God basically needed us to have intercourse for procreation applications He does not have given us such lively libidos.

There are many, many plants and other things out there that--leave it to us-we find bad uses for. There are also thousands of plants and other things that we have made medicines out of. God did not create bad things, we took his beautiful creations and many times made bad things for ourselves. Why do we always need to blame someone, when we do harmful things to ourselves?

Never blame God for the evil that men do.

God is not testing anything--He gave Satan the run of things for a while, if you read the Bible. It is your sinful nature that is testing your free will.
