Tom Pink -- But what about when Jesus made fun of the Homosexual Herod?
What do you think about this passage?
1 Cor 6:9-10
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

It is making a pretty tough case don't you think?

Yes it does. It also teaches us that we are all sinners. It also teaches us that there is no salvation outside of faith in Jesus Christ. So all those smug straight people are doing so many things wring by thinking that homosexuals have it worse. Not only that, but they don't believe Jesus about loving much because of the forgiving of much.
It's so backwards in Christianity these days, The devil has made many Christians into Pharisees. And in John 4, Jesus stayed with the Samaritans for two days. The adulterous woman wasn't shunned.

Heb 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."
Furthermore Jesus said concerning marriage "at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’" of which he took as a precedent for marriage

I think the quote is "man shall not lie in bed with another man"....So TECHNICALLY speaking, unless there is more to this statement/quote I'm not aware of, having SEX with a member of the same gender is the sin...But it says nothing about kissing, hugging, or loving them.
Also, keep in mind that it's a sin to have sex, and when people say "Man" they're often referring to both genders. [( Examples, The fall of mankind, "one small step for man, one giant step for mankind", etc. )]
So that being said, isn't it possible that they're referring to 'man' in that way?
Even if they aren't, it's still technically saying you can't go to bed [( AKA- have sex with )] a member of the same sex- so everything else is fair game.
Ohhh, loopholes.
EDIT
And since sex is a sin, even when it's done to make a child, then OF COURSE homosexual sex would be a sin too, because it's still sex! So sex is considered a sin regardless of who does it- the bible doesn't go against homosexuals, it simply states that sex between to men is also wrong because at the time the bible was written, homosexuality was a 'big thing', you could say, and maybe it was like nowadays where people thought anal sex wasn't TRULY considered sex!
Therefore, it makes a direct statement about that to make it clear.

The Bible could be said to be a teacher, but it is more of history of those who where chosen to stay morally clean. That is to say we learn about those people or angles who failed to respect laws or commands that were given to protect all of God's creation from falling into seeking ways to explore life. We are all children, regardless of our age, for those who were created before us, the angles, also failed to stay morally clean. If angles could fall pray to wanting or desiring things that are not proper, how much more so are we simple humans.
The term homosexuality simply refers to exploring self for selfish purposes that excites the temporal imagery that seduces one to act without forethought of health or well fare of others that love them.
So is homosexuality a sin, I guess if it damages one prospects of living for God, Yes. But if one does not consider God as their creator, then there is no restraints or laws to break.
Just think though, the angles that left heaven to have sex with human women, thought the same way and what happened to them? So if you believe in ghosts, Satan, angles, you best realize that you are living in sin. For sin simply means, MISSING THE MARK OF PERFECTION. We are all sinners, but we have choices to make, just like the angles. Think about it. Most important is that Satan is the master of deception and He will give you whatever your heart desires, but at a COST, your life. The angles who fell to SATAN's influence, where are they? Immortal, NO, living in heaven, NO. So at what cost, they had to give up both immortality and heaven. So You decide if Satan is real or has some influence in this world today? Think about it....or choice for your self the blessings or the malidictions mentioned in the ancient writings and the bible.

God and the bible have made clear, what is sin, for thousands of years.
Jesus didn't "accept" sin when He was on the earth.
Jesus didn't become PC tolerant 45 years ago.The bible didn't change 45 years ago. Sin is still sin and will always be sin.Man has no authority to make any sin(s) protected or claim God suddenly accepts any sin(s).

God made Adam and then from adam he made the second man except with a womb and mammorry gland and directed that 2nd man be called woman and be the on who gives birth and nurtures and cares for the young and the 1st man was directed to be the protector and supporter. and then in Genesis it says that man should not lie with his own kind. That tells me being gay is a sin even tho I like being with another man.

The bible doesn't teach anything. It's a book. Someone has to read it to learn from it. If you read it yourself and get a diversity of opinions form other people who have actually read it you will learn something from it. If you take the word of someone else who claims to have read the whole book and don't know the context of any passages they quote you aren't learning anything about religion only about the depths some people are willing to sink to in order to get your money or forward their own agenda.

I really think there wasn't today's kind of gay adult partnerships when the Bible was written. The few verses against it were probably referring to the child prostitute trade and the older men who rented or abused them.
So therefore I don't really see how the Bible clearly commented on it, except maybe in the story of David and Jonathan.
Jesus probably would've shrugged it off and told critics to throw the first stone if anyone had asked, but he sure did get mad when moneychangers had set up tables in the temple.
