The function of the mind is to determine rational solutions to problems and seek the greatest practical good for everyone as well for the planet we live on. Now, if only men would have minds to be able to do that.

All u need is an autonomic nervous system to control normal body functions. The mind is superfluous and a waste of energy to most humans. I guess it grew from some process which mediated basic body functions/control within the brain as a kind of secondary feddback mechanism to try and achieve some kinda homeostasis. What is mind, is it no higha than mere matta in motion may aspia??
