No, I usually don't, especially when the crowd is doing something that goes against my instincts or my beliefs. I've been the lone hold-out in a petition to have someone removed from their job, simply because I believed the crowd was wrong. That wasn't a comfortable place to be, but I was ultimately proven right.

That's not to say that I'm always right or that I don't go along with the crowd at times. But when my instincts say that something is wrong or goes against my principles, then I have to stand up for what I believe.

Like the country western song says, "You have to stand for something or you'll fall for anything."

"The Crowd" is an interesting concept on this site. Zealous christians and quite a few sycophantic grovelers are in "Crowds" in here. Some "christians" just pump their views and have no intention of serious debate. The grovelers just want to agree with certain individuals so much it makes me want to barf. I think Muslims get more abuse than anyone else. I also think a high percentage of atheists give good qualified opinions. I don't fall into any of these crowds, I'm just opinionated, I also respect others opinions if they are individual and not just swaying with the crowd.

Rarely.

Belief in a god is the norm. I am an atheist.
Public school is the norm. I homeschool my kids.
Most people in the military are conservative. My husband and I are both democrats.
I detest fads and pop music. I wear what is comfortable and to he** with what's in style. I lose interest in seeing a movie if it is the "smash hit of the season". I like listening to bands not many have heard of.

I don't draw a line. I will do what I believe is right, or what feels genuine. If that happens to be what others are doing, so be it. Fitting in is never a goal of mine.

It depends on where the crowd is going. If the crowd is following a path that is dangerous-mentally, physically, or spiritually- I go in another direction. Just because "everybody" is doing something doesn't make it safe or sane. Don't do anything that you are uncomfortable with just because of peer pressure. Be your own person and think for yourself.

I am an amiable type of guy, laid back and would usually rather slip out unnoticed rather than face adversity as I shy away from conflict....however I will not comprimise truth for the fear of man and If backed into a corner, can hold my own....often times on this forum,I am more bold than I am on the street.....but am just as whacky where ever I am

A direct answer would be,no I do not go along with the crowd unless i am walking with them in agreement.

my daughter coined a phrase that I sometimes use to tag my email....

"Standing out shows courage and leadership. Fitting in shows following and invisibility"

she's 13.

I draw the line when my morals and beliefs are compromised. I don't often tend to follow the crowd anyway, I am much too opinionated for that, but the Lord is showing me that it's wiser to listen to someone fully in order to understand where they are coming from, and then either compromise or lead to a better understanding of the situation.

we are all leaders and followers, and the sign of a great leader is to know when to allow others to shine.

blessings Uncle Wayne..... (((((huggies to you and Auntie))))) :)

No, I'm usually the one with different opinions or different things I want to do...I guess I would draw the line when I'm not comfortable or when something morally bad is about to happen.

I make it a practice to never follow the crowd and I am quite pleased with following only One, the only One that I may have everlasting life through. He said that it is a narrow path to Him, but a wide one for following the crowd to Satan.

God Bless You
