No, never, uh-huh. The maturity levels are so different in the years of children. A fifteen year old knows /so/ much more than a twelve year old, and the things the twelve year old will learn will not make sense to them and could potentially harm them. The older ages are also ready for more things than the younger and if the younger is asked, coaxed, or does these things they might develop a complex or misconception of the truth of these things.
Edit: I hit puberty at eleven. Puberty so does /not/ count as a general argument.

HeLLLLL No. 12 is too young. Im 18 and my fiancee is 21. We've been together since i was 16 and he was 19.
Even then, it seemed bad to other people.
A 4 or 5 year difference isnt bad, BUT, not until you're at least 16 or 17

Absolutely not. Boys that age like to take advantage of young girls. They make them feel special because an older boy was interested in them. Then they use this to get them to do things that they are too young to do. Being twelve and thirteen and fourteen is a very difficult time when hormones are going crazing and changes are taking place and for some reason when a guy says "if you don't do this, I won't like you" young girls are too quick to go along with the guy's idea. For some reason they don't realize that they are worth so much more and that they shouldn't have to do certain things to get a guy to like them. I don't know if it is the flattery that goes to their heads or if it is the hormones. Let twelve year olds still be kids while they can and don't let them be corrupted. It is basic pack behavior for them to go along with the crowd, especially the older "cooler" crowd. Encourage other alternatives without controlling your kid's life.

Going out where? 12 year olds don't go OUT. For a 16, 17, 18 ,19 year old to want to go out with a 12 year old, there must be something wrong with them! I have a 12 year old, I have to laugh when he tells me he is "going out" with someone. And she is the same age.

First of all, are you the 12 year old's parent? If so, you should not be a parent if you need to ask this question. If this is the 12 year old asking, don't do it you're too young. Don't worry about boys yet.

Some people say not because their too old. but what could be a problem we that. Will there be any problem with the age. i dont think so. it just might seem to disgusting. I have a teacher okay, he's 12 years apart from his wife's age. So for example when he was is 12th grade. his wife would be in kindergarden or 1st grade. You see how far that is. Yep. but it really depends on you. I dont think it is but o well go for it.

NO NO NO, and NO 12 year old should be going out anyways dating or just as friends...and 16 - 19!!! I would never let my child when she turns 12 go out at all with someone that much older, asking for trouble is all it is.

No 16 to 19 is a little too old for a preteen. Even at those older ages they have a little more experience than she does. I do not blame her for wanting to date them, girls at that age are more mature than their 12 year old male classmates and it is understandable. But it is also illegal for them to date so it is best all around for her to just wait a few years before she decides to date an older guy.
