Gopi:-ONE God different forms.-ONE ssrvj different forms (?)
Your question is good-though with a subtle sarcasm-Leave ssrvj-an unwept, unhonoured, unsung, material creature(Achetanam)-But God is not like that-omnipresent-omnipotent ,omniscient, immanent, all imbibisive(Chetanam-so Chaitanyam)ultimate Realty.I did not say different forms-i just translated Vedham which says--"Vipra Bahudhaa Vadhanti"=(God is ONE-but learned people call Him by different names)- but by whatever name they call God they call Me (Lord Krishna-in Bhagavad Geetha) only-"Thay pi maam eva Kountheya"

God is spirit. It's impossible to describe the form of God as a spirit. However, in this answer, this spirit has been given a name - God.

Names do matter of course - they matter to us. As anthropic beings, we associate name with personality. If you quickly say the word, "Jesus" - different images jump into most people's heads than if you say, "Brahma."

Of course, the Godhead itself is beyond names, which are in the end just vocalizations by a sophisticated primate on Earth. But names matter to us, which is why we have them.
