I've read the Bible, parts of the Koran, some Hare Krishna thing I accepted from a monk in the street and walked off without paying him, and several Scientology books when I was researching it a few years back in order that I could write a plausible novel about a loony religious cult.

Oh and Ramayana's a laugh. I wanna see the film.

The Bible, parts of the Koran (fell asleep) and The Bhagavad Gita. The Gita is exciting the entire thing is an epic Battle. Some day I will take a course at the U and read the Vedas, the Sutras, and anything else.

Oh, goodness. Here's a list (books I've studied, not read in their entirety):

TeNaCh (studied in Hebrew and English)
New Testament (mostly from Biblia Vulgata and KJV, but also "The Message")
Qur'an
Book of Mormon
Doctrine and Covenants (et. Pearl of Great Price)
Bhagavad Gita
Tao Te Ching
Epic of Gilgamesh (considered a religious text, right?)
Hammurabi's Code (religious law included)
Multiple Gnostic Gospels (though not widely considered religious texts)
Mahabharata
Bahir

Religion = my obsession.

I've read the bible and studied it from the Christian perspective and from the Rastafarian perspective. I won't go into all the details of my studies here because that is not the question.

I have also read most of Stephen King's books and I think that more truth is in Cujo than in all the books of the bible combined.

I only read one holy book. The Holy Bible but I think that has all the books in one. So I might've read more than one.

All the way through, only one (the Tao Teh Ching). Pieces of... lots. Bible, Koran, just about everything but the Book of Mormon.
