How come the term "christian agnostic" made many writhe in pain like Linda Blair's character in the Exorcist?

after she was sprinkled by holy water?

Doesn't bother me if an agnostic wants to be a crossover to christianity. Not my cup of tea mind you, I'm an agnostic that is closer to atheism on the spectrum than theism.

Interesting. I'm not a christian, but I always thought they'd embrace the idea because it seems to require the most faith out of any theistic view.
