Still checking on the title for 59 Ford with no vin #.one source shows a picture of location on frame-that's where someone welded a diff.motor support on this truck.How about the ads in some car magazines showing out of state titles-how safe is this?cost around 150 bucks.Thanks for any help. birdman

Your truck has a VIN, if it has been removed by the alteration, you can take the truck to the State Patrol and have an inspection done, and a VIN assigned if the original has been removed. Why doesn't the title show the VIN, or do you not have the title? I'm not clear on that. As for the car magazine option, no, don't waste your money.

There were more than one location Vin Number was stamped. Your close but I think you will find the number on the rear frame near the right hand front spring shackle. Those ford guys thought every thing would rust away behind the rear tire. Or check with Ford historic on line

Go to any Highway Patrol office and they will locate the vin. There are vins in many locations. They will know where to look.
