In other words, are you a lot more fervent in your beliefs, a lot less fervent, or somewhere in between? What difference has that made?

My mother, a non-practicing Catholic, really has no clue what she believes. Her opinion changes with her mood, or with the opinions of those around her. She is easily influenced :p

I am an atheist, so I guess you could so I am more "decided" than my mother. The change is.. freeing. I feel more honest with myself because I do not easily allow others to influence my thinking.

I come from a dominant Catholic upbringing. I broke away from the religion and since never found another one. I guess the good that religion teaches which was instilled as a child have remained, but the belief system has long gone. A lot less fervent here......

Considering I grew up in a Catholic household and I'm now an atheist...... I'd say a lot less fervent.

I'm an atheist.
My mom is spiritual but not religious at all. She believes in souls and all that but doesn't but into the God idea really. My dad is pure atheist and faithful only towards science, like me. We celebrated Christmas and Hannukah as kids, and we still do Hannukah sometimes, more to honor my ancestors than for a religious reason.

I'd say I'm pretty much on the "more fervent" side of the street. As far as differences go... I really don't see any except that I'm a tad more outspoken and maybe a smidge more comfortable with myself.

Alot more fervent. One at a time, my family have been saved (my mom and dad are both in heaven) and have come to know God (one of my sisters and her husband). One more sister, two nieces and one nephew, and I'm praying for all of them. I'm pretty sure God put me in this family to pray for them. It's a life worth living.

Well, I grew up Catholic...I still am Catholic, but I definitely have adapted my beliefs according to the environment I've grown in during adulthood

Not much different...I think my parents believed a little more in god and the bible than I do..but certainly not by much.
