Yes.
I'm agnostic, my husband is Anglican, my mother is Presbyterian, my father Methodist, brother and his family Presbyterian. My cousins are all sorts of denominations from Roman Catholic to LDS.

My friends come in all sorts of beliefs and non-beliefs as I do not hold that to be the defining factor in how I form a friendship.

many folk have got here upon a course that does no longer contain faith and it does no longer quit us residing a good, worrying and ethical existence. little doubt you have meditated on your previous ideals and would come across people who're approximately residing as good individual and individuals who serve no functional objective exterior of strict adherence to particular non secular ideals. in case you haven't any longer completed that yet, my wager is which you have plenty a soul-finding only before you. As you have realised, faith serves a social place in some communities, becoming barriers between people who're 'righteous' and people who're unworthy. of course such differences are synthetic. To the final public of individuals, a individual is a individual, in spite of their ideals. it rather is not likely you would be rejected with the aid of those exterior your former faith although I do understand your desire to no longer be alienated from latest friends and kinfolk. i don't have a answer for you on that element, basically an remark which you desire to proceed to be authentic to THEM rather and brazenly, without the dishonesty of pretending to hold a faith you do no longer carry. in the event that they have been to reject you through fact of that, in my opinion it would teach a weak point of that faith - even a wrongness .... yet i do no longer desire to place innovations into your head or in any thank you to impression your determination. it relatively is rather no longer person-friendly, my buddy, yet I recommend that the varieties of issues we are able to think of are frequently greater frightening than the fact seems to be. you will make friends. you would be known - possibly no longer with the aid of all and sundry yet it relatively is authentic for all individuals. the international won't come dashing up on your door to greet you: you would be courageous sufficient to flow obtainable and meet it. I desire you a good existence on in spite of course you elect.
