claiming that Mexicans are entitled to invade America? I was on the fence. These people and other recent encounters have pushed me to the anti immigration reform side. Having said that, I do not support the Minutemen organization and I don't support violence against illegal immigrants.

Penarol, not just the ignorants. I have had some unbelievable encounters in the last few weeks. Many of those people were well educated and should have known better.

Yes, I do know you Jack and I was disgusted by the video of Mexican immigrant protestors wearing masks and desecrating the US flag. That was my first push off the fence. I have received many reality pushes since that time.

sqwirls, I knew you would find this offensive but I chose to do this because my personal experiences of late have shown me that that there is a sense of entitlement by the majority of immigrants and no sense of love or gratitude for the United States. I spoke with an elderly man recently who just now, after many years, was able to take his citizenship test. He told me that the younger generation of immigrants have their stomachs in the US but their hearts in Mexico. I think he nailed it.

I have changed my views since the immigration issue started a little through talking with immigration professionals and doing my own research. What people post on the Internet, or what an idiot on TV has to say, is really worthless junk to me. I did a college research paper for my composition class not too long ago, and it was on immigration. All of my beliefs are based on information I have actually investigated, and every chance I have of talking to someone who knows about the issue, I do it. The "facts" and statistics can easily be manipulated, so unless you are a gullible person, you shouldn't rely on all of them too much. This of course excludes all official statistics.
That being said, I have been drawn away form the liberal, pro-open-borders side a little more towards the anti illegal side, but people still criticize me from both sides. You can't please everyone.

I was originally when the subject was first brought up by Congress pro-reform because I knew something had to be done, I had some trust in the Republicans backing it, and I knew some effort had to be made with the Democrats to pass it and then maybe get their cooperation on another topic like SS reform as a pay back for this reform. I quickly realized the democrats were going to only look at this bill and forget any help on another bill and then as they kept loading up immigration reform with more and more trash I gave up on it and became very anti-reform. I really never let the postings here set me one way or the other because I wasn't on this site much when I was making my view up.

You say we need to work harder, seems you pro-illegals are the ones trying to work harder at spreading lies and your racist propaganda. How many times have you asked this same question. The laws are being enforced, so who are the ones who should be scared. It isn't us. We won't be getting deported. We support justice, illegals do not and neither do these pro-illegal supporters or illegals would receive the justice they deserve for breaking the law. You are so wrong. The vast majority of Americans are AGAINST illegal aliens and any form of amnesty. Why do you think more than 20 states want to follow in Arizona's foot steps and remove you illegals. Of course we know you are only interested in mexicans from your other rants and how you have put down cubans and others. Mexican immigrants do have civil rights and do not need amnesty. mexican illegals deserve NOTHING.

The Minutemen do not do anything violent to the illegal aliens...many times they have even GIVEN WATER AND AID TO STRANDED ILLEGAL ALIENS!!! They call the border control and let them deal with the illegal aliens..they do not lay a hand on the illegal aliens. The only OTHER big thing that they do is speak out AGAINST THE NORTH AMERICAN UNION. That is what they do...and protest, but that is not against the law. They have been made to be something that they aren't to try to get people to look at them evil.

The Minutemen are no more violent than the illegals they watch out for. These people were trying to get a message across, because OUR government wasn't and still isn't doing it's job.
You have to remember these people LIVE on the border they have seen the ungodly amount of illegals coming through their property and there back yards. I feel for anyone living in a border state now it has got to be hell to be on the front lines of this invasion.
We are not anti reform it is just that we DON"T need reform, nothing is wrong with our laws NOW, reform is just a fancy way of saying "you are going to change your laws to appease the lawbreakers"
It isn't necessary it is just more smoke and mirrors from our government. THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET OR THESE TRAITORS IN OFFICE WOULD HAVE SLIPPED THIS BY LONG AGO.
THERE WILL BE NO AMNESTY!
JUST ENFORCE THE LAWS ON THE BOOKS!

Well, that takes courage. The truth isn't always pretty. I woke up more than a year ago when the illegals were having marches. They seemed so entitled and as I read their signs and saw them flying their flags it didn't sit right with me. For me this isn't a race issue, a class issue or anything else but an issue of right or wrong.

It's a little rough over on this side dear. But you'll be just fine, I'm here. ;) I don't hate them either. They're mere pawns just like the rest of us. I told you old people are the best untapped resource for knowledge. Plus they like it.

With all your posts full of racist hatred...you are EXACTLY the type to she is talking about...duh....do you think reasonable people actually support you???
BTW, Metro...you have exactly zero credibility here anymore, why do you think everybody slams you every post you make. You would have been better off starting under a new ID...at least you could have "started fresh".

I started out as pro-Amensty... in 1986. Then I lived with what it actually did: attract 12 million more illegals.
I'm against repeating that mistake.
