Because, most the time when people ask those questions, they *have* read it, and they understand it more than you. They're simply asking rhetorical questions to point out the absurdities the Bible presents.

I'm with you there. So many Bible critics on this forum haven't bothered to actually read the bible.

Maybe they just want to know the answer. Maybe they don't have a bible of their own. Maybe they don't know the NIV bible is in plain english and easy to understand. Its okay. I don't mind answering questions.
