The knowledge that all my achievements and all my Good deeds and Kindness come from My self and own True morals-- not artificially created, or done because i simply fear going to hell.--
I truly am a Good and Honest person.

The best part of being an atheist is deconversion - that day when you're reading about atheism, looking a list of atheists, people you've always really admired, and it all clicks into place. It's the moment when you realize that it's time to admit to yourself that nothing else makes sense, and you let go of your faith. It's reading something and laughing out loud because it expresses your own thoughts and feelings so perfectly, finding answers, making friends with whom you have something pretty big in common. It's the way that your whole perspective changes and you start seeing things for what they really are...and aren't, and you start out on this quest for knowledge that never ends.

Being a true person, with my own thoughts, feelings, desires, and control over my own destiny, rather than a puppet on the strings of a deity.
Either that, or its a ice cold beer on a hot summer's day.
Aaaahhhhhhhh....

Yeah - Freedom, as the man said. Being able to design your own set of rules, and an ethos, instinctively based on things that will really 'do unto others' according to what'll actually be nice for them (provided they deserve it).
And your life, not having to curry favour with a Sky Daddy.

Being able to sleep late on Sunday. Not having to give up anything for Lent. Not feeling obligated to give 10% of my hard-earned salary to an unnecessary institution.
There are so many, it's hard to pick the best.

Going birding on Sunday morning when everybody else is in church instead of making a lot of noise in the parks. Or the secret handshake. I really love that handshake.

(Your description sounds like most of the young Christians I know.)
However, for me it is the sense of liberated thinking that no longer requires me to skirt around intellectual dilemmas that are, in fact, unsolvable once you insert a deity into the equation. And I no longer have to associate with people who would rather I didn't exist because I'm unapologetically gay.

The fact that I don't have to judge anybody elses morality as a human being based on what they answer here.
