okay I heard from some lady that plants are ruled by planets and things like willow is ruled by the moon, I was wondering if the plant viola, also known as the johnny jump up is ruled by venus, I heard violets which are similar are but just wondering???

Yes, the viola (also violets and pansies) are ruled by the planet Venus ... this is a 'feature' of Astrology, by the way, and is 'old science' from before we knew so much 'hard science' ... but it's 'fun to know' anyway, right?

I find this an interesting question.
Who rules over the plants?
I studied this, some 50 years ago and decided that it was more appropriate to find the power that controls the planets.
This is the power that I am interested in locating!

I think this totally erroneous. Planets are nothing more than small plants that are ruled by full grown plant.

She is probably wiccan. Viola is ruled by the planet Venus and the element of water. It is used for protection, luck, love, lust, wishes, peace and healing.
