im 17 and i have a boyfriend of 6 months, we havent had sex yet but i know we are going to soon. im a virgin and im just scared because even using a tampon hurts me, is this going to kill me? and god am i going to bleed everywhere? I just dont want him to be grossed out. and i am so afraid of the pain. I want to do it but im just soo nervous. If i cant even use a tampon will this kill me?

If you have used tampons already chances are that you won’t bleed since your hymen is already torn. Maybe you should wait until you are more relaxed and calm about doing it because when you are nervous and scared your muscles tense up and it can make the experience more painful than it has to be. The best way is to relax and take it slow. Make sure your boyfriend knows that you have never had sex, that he takes his time, is gentle and patient. It may help to use some lubricant as it may make things slide along easier. Avoiding sex for ever is not going to solve your problem; you are going to have to learn how to be intimate at some point in life unless you are planning to avoid sex forever. The first time can be painful for some women; the degree of pain is different among women since no two women are the same. It may be painful for the first time you may be sore afterwards for several days, and it may not get any easier the second time but eventually it will. Biologically women’s bodies were designed to allow for intercourse so you won’t die from having sex. you might be using too large of a tampon sweetie.... try to use the smallest one you can get away with.

For the sex portion, it'll probably hurt, not going to lie. But you have to talk to your boyfriend about it. Express your concerns to him, and ya, you might bleed, but girl, it happens. Its life. He'll accept it, and probably wont care too much as long as he is getting some.

Honestly, let him finger you first, and have him start slow, with one finger, and add more as yor muscle expands. If he shoves anything up there without warning, your muscle is going to tighten up, and it'll hurt. Your muscle needs to get used to expanding, so start out slow. If he doesn't understand that, or have the patience for you, girl, he's not the one you should loose your virginity to. I hope thats not the case though.

Make sure you use a condom, and lots of lube. You have to be relaxed and it might take a few times, but it'll happen. Dont be ashamed, believe me, it took me a little while to actually have my first guy inside of me. Have a couple of towels on the side or underneath you, just in case.

Don't do it unless you're ready to, but many girls have fears about the first time. In many cases, yes, it will hurt. That's life. But if you're scared your boyfriend will be grossed out then maybe you're not ready. You should feel that your boyfriend loves you and would be more concerned about your pain than the blood. He should go as slow as you need and make sure you're absolutely ready.

If not, then it's not time for you two yet, and sex could mess up your relationship if done too soon. Think about it before you commit.

if you can't even use a tampon yes you are going to be in extreme discomfort and yes you're going to bleed... you can try to stretch out your hymen yourself by greasing up your fingers and pushing down towards your butt in the entry of your vagina. You could also buy a smaller sized toy from an adult shop to mess around with to start stretching that area some as well. (I'm sure your boyfriend would love to join you!!)
