Let's see... since heaven and hell are only for souls and not bodies, we wouldn't have any senses, therefore it would have no smell. Did I solve the riddle?
Can something exist without being perceived? - e.g. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? "Sound is only sound if a person hears it", thus hell would not have any sensory data to perceive, since our physical sensing body is absent. Hell, like heaven, would have no appealing or distasteful attributes - at least from a physical standpoint of our 5 senses.
(Sorry, I always hate it when people avoid answering my questions too and go off on silly tangents, but I couldn't help myself! I'll try to come up with a more wittier answer next time).

They were saying that in meaning that he will go to hell for being a murderer, I don't think you will be able to smell hell if your biting your tongue to ease the pain. Believe me, smelling is the last thing you'll be thinking about, not to mention I hope you or anyone you know will ever have to find out for yourselves.

Where do you live? Seriously? e-mail me and let me know. You don't have to be specific, general is fine.
I would hope that it wouldn't smell so bad because, who knows, most of us could end up there.
