If I open your brand new car, sit behind the steering wheel, and ask you for the keys...and you ask me why I need your car, and my answer is 'God needs it', would you give me the car?

If it would work, I'd call it "sneaky theft". But that's probably just me.

I'm wondering, because it's basically the same thing as how Jesus got a donkey for free.

First, rkirby1331, Markyyy has helped me selflessly simply with his words and his thoughts. Does that answer your very rude and presumptive question?

Grrrr. I cannot abide personal attacks on good people.

Anyway, . . . what? No! Get out of my car!

Markyyy, I believe that God had already prepared (or knew in advance) that the donkey's owner would be willing to "loan" his ride to the disciples

By the way,I need your car....I'm pretty sure that God's cool with it.

I think it's more like when the police use your car in an emergency. You get it back.

Lucky for this man, Jesus wasn't doing any high speed chases, so I'm sure he got his donkey back undented. ;o)

You're getting my beautiful 2005 Kia Rio only if you pry the keys out of my cold, dead hands. Same goes for Jesus.

The ironic bit is that Jesus is the one with the cold, dead hands.

specific. i might desire to sell my tale to any fairly adventuresome tabliod. "Atheist Borrows automobile for God,says woman instructor of non-theist spirituality". it might desire to even get optioned for Hollywood as a clean Blues Brothers action picture.

if i felt in my spirit that you was honest and up front yes but if i had a bad feeling no. god has a way of showing his will in things and if i didn't see it you couldn't have it.

If I lived in New York, I might. :) But I would try to recoup the cost of buying it!

Hell no!

I love my car and even as much as I like you Markyyy, I don't think I'd let you drive it, particularly if you gave me some lame reason like "God needs it". No one but me drives my Chevy. ;)
