People always ask this type of question and the answer is clear. This is a new vehicle so I'm sure its properly tuned and running the right tire pressure, blah blah, and maybe you don't have a lead foot and let off the gas well before approaching a red light/exit ramp. So, with that in mind there's nothing you can do, every vehicle gets different MPG and the more people/stuff you haul the lower those numbers go. Minivan's don't get the same MPG as cars because they are alot heavier and less aerodynamic, that's part of the deal. The best way to improve fuel efficiency is to drive less, get a job closer to home, go to the store once a week, etc.
