Ani, I'm unaware of the locations in Glendale, but music stores are all over the country, and in each one should be a qualified guitar instructor. Also, check at the hair salons for business cards of individual instructors. That's what I do to drum up business--by dropping business cards at the hair salons because mommies want their children to stay busy during the summer months.

Prices range greatly, depending on geographical location. In the northeast and far western shores, a half hour of lessons might run as much as $15, whereas in the southern states a half-hour lesson could cost $12.50.

I charge $12 if I have to go to the person's house, and about $10 if they come to me. I'm not in the business to make a lot of money, but to share what I know with the younger generation.

Check in your local phone book, and also this time of the year check your local colleges, a lot of the music students are looking for a way to make extra money, they don't usually charge much because they don't have their degrees yet, look at the bulliten board of your loacal super market, your local newspaper, sometimes the college students put adds in there, and laundry mates etc. Good luck, great instrument to play.
