So my question is "what is the name of the war in Iraq".
Let me clarify, we know that in the U.S. the war is called "The Iraq war" but somehow I doubt Iraqis would call the war this.
Just like how the U.S. and U.S.S.R. had two different names for the same conflict (world war 2, The Great Patriotic War) I'm sure the conflict must have another name used by Iraqis since for them any war would be "the Iraq war".

Still not sure if I was clear on what I'm asking. I'll look at the answers and provide more detail if this was confusing.

I know what you mean and I have your answer:

1. By Iraqis this war is called:
- By oppressed Iraqis under Saddam’s regime: “Iraqi Freedom War from Saddam”
- By beneficial people of Saddam’s regime: “Iraq Invasion War”

2. By other Arab countries who cry for Saddam, it is called “Iraq Invasion War”. Such countries are: Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Yemen, and in general Sunni Arab. Saddam for Arabs was a hero, but for his own people was a dictator.

3. By USA government, it is called “Operation Iraqi Freedom”.

the war in Iraq is known as Operaion Iraqi Freedom. Operation Enduring Freedom is Afghanistan, and both of these operations are in support of the war on terror.

I understand your question, but I got caught up explaining it to some the previous responses you got. sorry. I don't have the answer either

It's not technically considered a war...it is a military operation.
At the onset, it was called "Operation Iraqi Freedom", now it is known as "Operation Enduring Freedom".

My proposal is " The beggining of the phase of irreversible decline of US Imperialism".Why ? Because if you notice , nobody is now affraid of USA,thanks to Iraqi Insurgency, the World knows that US Army is easy, just some IEDs and USA vant control the ground, and if you cant control the ground you cant control anything.Of course you must also target US puppets.
