Hmmm, oxygen is unquestionably very undesirable for you and almost each non inert fabric on the earth. In oxygen issues oxidise and become worse structurally very without delay. This incorporates your physique. although we do choose it. As for burning in hell, properly, you particular comprehend some sickos. Doesnt the christian faith ramble on approximately love and forgiveness? everybody who can spout such venom is obviously a twisted soul already and could be prevented. To be a tad pedantic, something and each little thing will burn in oxygen. A rock or a steel girder could be set gentle to with basically a experience in a severe oxygen environment. purely because of fact your "soul" would desire to burn doesnt advise that the soul needs oxygen, purely needs to be in it.

Edit- correction of the first line.
Burning of the soul means indefinite postponement of the cherished dream of the soul to meet the God. Soul moves always with a subtle body and subtle mind. The subtle body suffers. The soul is a divine thing and remains unaffected.
When we are in a human body, the soul, subtle body and the subtle mind lives within the body. These subtle things are always with the soul. That explains that what we see, hear, or sense in dreams, is the subtle mind, inspite of our physical body and physical mind, being in a state of sleep.

"Needing oxygen" is not the same as "needing oxygen to burn This equivocation can be demonstrated by substituting "charcoal" for "my soul" and "a soul" above (and omit the "in hell, forever").
Beyond that, the fire isn't literal.

Alternate universes or dimensions = Different laws of physics. Not pulling in that direction, I agree with what you're saying. Just offering a different perspective. Peace and love>

Why do so many people still believe in a soul in the first place?
"Soul" was a placeholder word back when we didn't know what consciousness was. We have a much better idea now, and we know it's not a ghost. Why, then, does this "soul" concept persist?
Religion, that's why. Bah.

Marky Sparky,
You can't base everything on your limited experience.
There's no oxygen on the sun. It's burning.
You haven't been everywhere yet.
