Asking someone out (Girls ages 16-17)?

Question

So, there's this girl I like in one of my classes, and I want to ask her out this summer to a movie, but I don't got her phone number or anything so i was planning to send an email. I was just wondering, how many of you would say yes, if someone sent you a note like this:

Hey (Whomever),

Hope your summer's going great. I know this is a crummy way of asking, but are you doing anything this week, and if not, would someone as beautiful as you agree to go with me to the movies?

If there's anything I can do to make it better, please tell me =)

very nice.. except MAYBE (i cant really tell cause at first i liked it but then i couldnt decide) maybe take out telling her she's beautiful cause she might feel guilty if she says no .. but at the same time i would LOVE to get that e-mail... so see what everyone else is saying.. but you sound really nice i hope it works out :)

don't say that this is a crummy way blah stuff. and don't call her beautiful. sorry, this is just how i would like to hear from a guy in my class anyway :)
try this:

Hey (whomever),

I'm (your name) from your (class name). I really enjoyed having class with you and I hope your summer is going great so far. We should hang out soon and catch up on things. Hope you're doing well. - (your name)


so yeah..I think you should keep it casual and more of a hanging out if you want situation then a dating yes or no situation. then she won't feel pressured like it is awkward. I'm sure you'll hear back from her then. maybe after you guys have gotten to know eachother better as friends, then you could take it to the next step. have confidence & good luck :)

I would just go up and ask her if you still see her now and then. If not your first email shouldn't have a crummy way in it just ask. Don't tell her that if I am not good enough for you I'll get someone Eese. Tell her that I believe that the both of us will have a good time. go for it!

Hey hun, im 17 and, my advice:

Dont ever ask someone out on paper or written. Always make it in person or on the phone. I'm sorry, but she could either not get it, and you would feel bad, or not reply to it, and your friendship could mess up. Look, there is just a bunch of possibilities that it could go wrong. My advice, either wait until school starts, or find out a way to contact her- maybe email her for her phone number or ask one of her frineds. Look i dont mean to be negative, but I strongly advise you not to do this. Well, I hope everything works out for ya hun.

Be direct, be clear, be confident, and be honest. most important things to be with a girl in my opinion...give her compliments once she agrees to the date. ^_^. hope this helps

Why not? Explain that you don't have her number, so she doesn't think you're chickening out of doing it face to face. i would say yes, for atleast one date.
