I'm going to be a massage therapist in the near future and was told I had to do my own taxes. What's the smartest way of doing this? Or, could I hire a personal accountant? If so, how much do they run? Thanks.

I would hire a personal accountant -this way, you have a smaller chance of making mistakes. As far as pricing, that's individual to the area and the accountant.

But to prevent being audited or overpaying taxes, it's priceless!

I would certainly hire a personal accountant to help you -this way, you won't make mistakes. A down side to this is that they can be quite costly!

Learn how to keep your financial records yourself. And come tax time you can still hire some one, but it will be a one time a year fee.
