who do you inform once youve bought it. And how much is it?

You buy the registration, and register it with the DVLA.

I assume if you have bought the registration you have it on a retention certificate. get a form from your local vehicle tax office. you need at least 6 months tax on the recieving vehicle. take the form (filled in) with the insurance certificate, and the log book back to the local tax office. it costs £80 + vat dont forget to inform your insurance after the swap. when you change vehicles after that to keep the registration it costs you £80 +£25+vat.

Why do you want to do that for. They look naff N0B1 etc etc. Donate the money to a GOOD charity it will make you feel better. Half the world is starving to death and the other half are buying naff number plates for there car. HOW HAS THIS HAPPENED????

Go to the DVLA website. You can buy personalised number plates from there. If you've already got one, you need to contact them to register it against your car.
