ok, if i am 13 and i wanna go on a summer diet thing, what should i do? what should i eat? how much should i eat..?? and how much weight do u think i would lose if i keep it up for 2 months?? plz answer and thank you

At your age I wouldn't worry about it unless you are pretty big but my advice is: Cut out sweets, soda, chips etc. Eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies. Eat lean meat (fish,chicken,lean cuts of beef) and exercise. At your age the pounds should just drop off. Oh yeah, drink lots of water.

Well I made up my own diet.
I just started but in one week I lost 6 pounds.

First of all, drink plenty of water. Half of your weight in ounces.

Breakfast: 1/4 cup oatmeal with 1/2 cup water. add 1/4 cup fresh blueberries (100 calories give or take a few)

Lunch: I get Oscar Mayer's Smoked Turkey breast that comes in little packages at Sam's or Target. 6 slices only has 45 calories. I wrap the turkey up in lettace with a dab of brown spicy mustard.

Snack: Around 3-4 I either eat an apple, 8 sliced strawberries, or 15 almonds.

Dinner: 6-8 ounces of lean meat (salmon, tilapia, chicken, beef, you choose) then I have two sides of veggies (frozen green beans, stewed canned tomatoes, salad)

Set a time 2 hours before sleep where you don't eat anymore at all. When you feel that hunger feeling when you are falling asleep, it is your fat cells burning.

I also walk 2-3 miles in the morning and do my Bowflex every other night.

just cut out all fatty foods, it's common sense really, so try excersizing for an hour everday, go out and play (isn't that the whole point of the summer?) walk, run, pick up a sport, play soccer with your friends, dance, play tag, make up your own dance, eat a good sized amount and never eat until you are like really really full just until ur satisfied, also you really need something to motivate you, pick something, like that clothes you have been wanting to wear or maybe if you want to impress a cutie at your school, maybe some posters on your wall of something inspirational could work, i can't really tell you how much weight you could lose because everybody is different, many people advise to get a personal trainer but i'm being realistic here, can a thirteen year old afford a personal trainer? i don't think so. so just try excersizing and try to enjoy yourself as much as you can and good luck

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
