. But even if we get what we desire our ego won’t let us rest instead of enjoying what we acquire we run after another dream. Our heavenly Father knows what it takes to make us truly happy. Most of us, deep inside ourselves, know that material possesions and money can not really bring us happiness. If we had all the money in the world we would wear ourselves out trying to buy happiness and the best we would be able to do is buy temporary enjoyment. A poor substitute for genuine happiness.
Sometimes we are like children crying for candy. Having as much as we want is sweet and we enjoy it, but then we don't like the stomach ache or the rotten teeth and other health issues that come with it. Like children we do not associate our misery with the candy and still want more and more.
Good parents know how to deny their kids too many sweets for their own good. They know that their kids can not be happy unless they are healthy so they provide balanced healthy meals for them with occasional sweets. As the children mature, they realize their parents were right to deny them all the sweets they wanted.
Like it or not happiness comes with conditions. God gives us instructions to live a truly satisfying life. Following those instructions leads to happiness.
Isaiah 48:17-18 _This is what Jehovah has said, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit [yourself], the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk. O if only you would actually pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea

but what is a dream? a dream is something that we desire. but once we desire, we find out now we have it, we want to desire more.

we exist to live, we live to exist - nothing more. money is needed to exist and to live. and once you aren't living, you don't need any of the things above. happiness is where you find it. it's not about the money you have, or the stuff you own. it's an intrinsic need - many don't know if they are happy or not or what makes them happy. you have to self reflect to really know what you desire the most. and you'll probably find it has nothing to do with material gains (though those are nice too).

i know what mine is, will i find it? i hope so.

Happiness is in the pursuit, not the possession. You are not guaranteed happiness anyway.
