Wedding ring closest to your heart (on first).

Traditionally - wedding band goes on first, then the engagement ring. But you can wear the rings in any way you like. I wear my wedding ring on my left hand, and my engagement ring on my right, as they don't go together.

I got married last year, and wasn't sure either. But after asking my mother in law, and looking around at other peoples, it is the wedding band closest to your hand (and heart) and then the engagement ring.

Take the engagement ring off before you walk down the aisle.
Slip it onto the other hand. Take your vows and when he slips the wedding band onto your finger, and you go up to sign the register, slip the engagement ring on top. That is the way they are to be worn.
Good luck and congrats.

The wedding ring goes on first b/c it is closer to your heart that way. The engagement ring goes on second. If you choose to wear only one on occassion, it should be the wedding ring.

It does matter - the wedding band goes on first, with the engagement ring on overtop, to protect it.

Usually the wedding band goes on first, so it is the closest to your heart ... then the engagemetn ring goes on after.

traditionally the band goes on first and the engagement ring second. its because your never meant to take the band off but you need to take the engagement ring off to clean the stone. but it doesn't really matter, which ever you think looks best of your finger :o)
