Atheists, seem to like the discord they try and create, as if they do not have enough confidence in their beliefs to allow their influence on the government and schools as enough. They seem to be insecure as to allow any venue of interchange to be sacred to their imposition of atheism.
They are the most annoying of preachers. They are more persistent than LDS+JW's combined.
Yet when they are challenged, always resort to name calling and trying to browbeat those in disagreement as "trolls".
Atheists are simply the worst offenders of their own accusations.

i don't reject any hazard. I purely have not have been given any theory without evidence...and confident, the 'faith' gods are surely refuted, they are purely so embarrasingly, for sure, guy-made ;-) So my atheism is greater properly pronounced as a 'non-theory', fairly than a denial of any hazard. i don't think in leprechauns, yet whilst there became into adequate evidence, i could. I do purely not 'believe' by potential of default, I certainly tend to verify the evidence objectively and easily. it is of great magnitude to me....honesty. As for what made the 'huge bang', i've got not got an opinion on the so-pronounced as 'huge Bang' or what would have made some thing like that..i've got not got an opinion because of fact i've got not got adequate awareness or evidence. i'd desire to surely say it became into made by potential of a deity. yet that would desire to be cheating. i'd desire to easily as surely say it became into made by potential of an alien lifeform, or that it spewed into existence from a multiverse from yet another length in time and area, alongside with endless different 'Universes'...

Religion is a subject like any other. Anyone is free to have an interest in it.
I am interested in many subjects, but one of my areas of academic specialty is Religion. Therefore, I feel like I can contribute constructively to the issues that are raised here.
I have an educated interest in Science, but no special academic specialty.
Atheism is by definition a response to certain types of religious faith. Therefore, R&S is Atheisms natural home.
We secularists have a vested interest in rebutting certain types of religious claims.
Not all religious believe in a creator.

The opinion of the atheist is just as valid as the opinion of the believer. Believers have no empirical fact that what they believe is truth - it all relies on faith. Atheists reject that belief, so where would you think it belongs? It is a rejection of the religion and the deity so it is in the right section.
I am amazed at how many cannot seem to be able to tolerate opinions that do not match their own personal world-view. It makes me think that many are not as secure in their beliefs as they try to make people think they are.

It's not counterproductive at all. I was not an atheist when I started participating in Yahoo! Answers. This forum is turning out new atheists every week, and we have the Christians here to thank for that.
See, when you say things like "faith in scientific fantasy", anyone, and I mean anyone, would take a step back and think, "Wait a minute. Maybe I should take a closer look at my own capacity for rational thought."
Cheers!

Drinking twice for Monica and once for myself..
Atheists provide the best information here.. I see no reason why we should change that, when there are so many other things that are broken on here.
Does this also mean that since christians are unwilling to be open minded and think their way is the only way they too should have their own section and leave the R&S section to the rest of the many religions in the world along with atheism and the agnostics?

First you xians say atheism is a religion. Then you don't. Make up your mind.
I think someone made a good point in another answer - do you have to be a mechanic to talk in the auto section? How about an actor in the movies section?
Get the point?
We have our own interests as to why we are here. Accept it and move on.

So, if thats the case, I guess we should add a Christian Homophobe site, a Creationism as Science site and a myriad of other Christian sites so you can spread your lies there as well, right? You know - keep you out of the legitimate LBGT and Science sections?
Check it out: I DO NOT BELIEVE IN YOUR GOD. Guess what...that subject has to do with God and religion. So, we are here to stay.
