find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Hit the gym. Forget the DDR. That won't do anything. If you can't go to a gym, at least do some cardio outside. If you haven't done any in awhile, start slow. Start walking, then brisk walking, then slow jogging. As you build up, you can even do jogging, sprinting for 30 seconds, and then slow down to a jog again. You can also get out a ride a bicycle. Basically, just start being active. Everyone wants a fast way to lose weight but there is no magic cure all pill. You may not lose all the pounds during the summer, since it's already here. Don't be discouraged if you don't get the results right away. Just keep at it.

Maybe you should follow a workout regimen. I'm doing slim in 6 and I already lost weight in my second week. It's pretty costly though.

Maybe you can get up in the morning and go walking or jogging for a mile. Look up different exercises and devise your own plan. You should be doing 30 minutes of exercise a day.

You also would want to strength train your muscles; don't worry about bulking up. The more muscle you have the higher your metabolism. I would consider DDR cardio but you need to do some sort of exercise that involves weights. Do lots of squats to build muscle in your legs.

You are doing all the right things. If you can go to they gym, try to do weights for 3 days a week and cardio for 3-4 days a week. If you cant go to the gym, try to walk, jog or run for 30-45 minutes 3-4 times a weeks. If you drink sodas, try to cut these out as sodas will not let you lose weight. Increase the protein in your diet and minimize fat and sugar intake. You should be ok. Good luck

As a personal trainer i get asked that question a lot. but everytime i give a solution i get the typical " that's too hard!!!" complaint. if you are serious about looking like a new person in 2 months then there is a way for you to lose weight. i did it when i use to weight 260 lbs.

what i did was go to GNC and i bought a Huge jar of Whey protein powder.

it has a great amount of protein (about 50 grams per drink) which is awsome. so what i did was replace 2 meals with the shake (make sure you use water instead of milk or juice.) i recommend the chocolate powder one.(it taste like Ovaltine) and basically for the one meal, i would eat a large portion of whatever i wanted.

i would also make sure to go to the gym and burn 1400 calories a day on the eliptical machine. (the walking bicycle) and lift weights about 1 hour a day. (make sure you hit all your target parts aka abs, chest, thighs, calfs, bicepts, tricepts, forearms, neck, shoulders and back ). target 2 parts a day and do about 3 sets of 50 crunches and and 3 sets of 20 push ups a day. i did it 5 days a week and i lost about 20 - 30 pounds a month.

the great thing about that plan is that you will lose, fat and gain muscle at the same time.

right now i weigh about 175. it worked wonders for me because i was dedicated. that's the best advice i can give you- stay motivated.

this is my advice for weight lifting:

monday- chest/back
tuesday- bicept/tricepts
wednesday- forearms/neck
thursday- thighs/calfs
friday-chest/shoulders

monday-friday- 3 sets of 50 crunches (150 total) and 3 sets of 20 push-ups (60 total)

monday-friday- burn 1400 calories on eliptical (its about 1 hr and 30 minutes straight without stopping on max level in a steady pace, not a fast pace!)

saturday and sunday rest- its very important to rest ur muscles.

i hope ur as strong and as dedicated as i was, because let me tell u man, there is no greater feeling than hearing "my god! you lost a lot of weight!)

if you have anymore questions holla back at me at joebholla@aim.com.

Going for a walk for a hour a day and also making sure you eat raw veg's & a fruit with your small meals will also help. No canned ones...they have added sugar. This is my trick when I want to lose 20 to 30 lbs after the winter is over. PS...if you like music a cd player would help you on your walking and even help speed you up! Good luck.

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
