I am trying to make strawberry whipped cream. I got heavy whipping cream and strawberry jello. I put 1 1/2 cups of whip. cream, 1/2 cup of powder sugar 2 packs of slpenda and about half of the jello into my mixer. I started the mixer and began washing the dishes. It didn't look like enough so I added the rest of the carton. Started the mixer again and now it looks like chunky throw up. What did I do wrong? Please help me!

It's not all chunky. It looks like puke. Watery with some chunks.

I know it all sounds crazy. I got it the splenda from the food network. I put jello in the cake too. Should I make another one? With out the jello?

I never heard of putting jello in whipping cream to flavor it. The jello is going to cling to the moisture in the cream and when it cools it will gel. You might want to try actual strawberries or a strawberry extract. I would eliminate the Splenda, too that's just chemicals that you dont need. Also, try using a few teaspoons of granulated sugar instead of the powdered sugar.

Let's start over with some variations on your theme, shall we?
Here are some ideas:

1. Take one carton of heavy whipping cream and place in bowl. Add 1 tsp vanilla and 3 T powdered sugar. In a separate bowl, mix jello powder with enough hot water to mix thoroughly and dissolve. As you begin whipping the cream mixture, add liquid jello until it reaches the desired flavor and consistency.
2. Use strawberry extract instead of vanilla
3. Add fresh, pureed strawberries to whipping cream and sweeten with sugar.

If you insist on using jello, then make sure its in its liquid state first or you'll end up with a grainy texture!

The Jello is not going to allow the cream to set properly.

Use strawberry syrup after you've already whipped the heavy cream and granulated sugar together with a hand blender. Skip the Jello and splenda.

When you overwhip "whipping cream", it will actually start the process to become butter.

The difference between making whipped cream and making butter is that you add salt to make butter and whip it longer (more like "churn" it), whereas for whip cream, you usually add a bit of sugar.

Either the whip cream was whipped too long, or the strawberry jello you added (which contains gelatin) started to thicken at a different rate than the whip cream, and you end up with a lumpy mess.

Who told you to add strawberry jello? Jello is nothing more than a gelatin, it absorbs liquids and turns into a "jelly". I would have opted for a GOOD strawberry syrup or even preserve, better yet some fresh strawberries pureed, and you can NEVER leave whipped cream unattended, there is a time line after which it will fall apart.

You are trying to hard! To much everything. Take whipping creme and a drop or two of vanilla flavoring and beat til whipped peaks. In the mean time cut up strawberry's with 1/3 cup of sugar and few tablespoons of water (marinate) add to whip creme by hand and serve. Maybe some food coloring to add to the color? P.S. use real sugar not powdered.

Maybe you are turning it into butter. OOPS! Sorry! Try cooking the mixture now and putting it on top of a cake or something.
