I accidently left a grocery sack in the car today with a dozen of raw eggs in it! The temp got up to high 90s today too! Do you think they would be okay still or should I just throw them away now?

They were left in the car all day, I got them in the morning and just remembered about them, LOL! I work nights and just woke up freaking out over it, not that it was a huge expense, but I was going to omelets today...Oh, well...

Crack one open into a bowl. You will know immediately if it is bad. If it is good put it into another bowl and crack another.
I live in a remote area in the tropics and most eggs you buy have never seen a refrigerator. I have yet to find a bad one.
Salmonella? Come on folks. An egg has an airtight seal with the shell and the membrane just inside. The salmonella and botulism that is scaring all of you is--in mayonnaise, potato salad, etc....eggs that have been opened. How many baby chicks have you seen with salmonella? They spend the first few weeks of their lives inside that shell in pretty high heat under their mama.

just make them hard boiled eggs, did you forget eggs come out a chickens but! What difference is it to sit out of the fridge for a couple hours or in a coop for a day?
Calm down people only one in a thousand eggs has salmonella present. If you not at any special risk like being old, terminally ill or a child. I think it's gonna be fine.

Hi DC
Better safe than sorry, throw m away. Eggs are cheap enough that you don't need to take a chance on getting food poisoning.

Food poisoning kills many people in the US every year. The price of a dozen eggs <= $2.00. Is it worth taking a chance? NOT!!

Some people don't even put their eggs in the fridge...but I guess the best way to answer is how you going to prepare them and how long in the car were they? If it was like for an hour I wouldn't worry about it.
