My wife and I are expecting a baby boy in Oct. We have heard a few couples tell us there child is terrible and that when the wives were pregnant the baby would move, and toss and was crazy. So far our baby moves very little. Could this be that he might be laid back? Just wondering from others with real experience.

P.S. The doctor knows and our baby is fine. Just doesn't move a whole lot.

you can't tell what a childs personality will be like based on fetal mvement. Most "bad" kids are a result of poor parenting skills. If you start to learn how to raise a child now you will have better success!

As long as the baby is moving then all should be well. When I was expecting my baby moved a lot some days and hardly at all others as long as there moving. Not sure what you mean about the moving and tossing and how that is connected to crazy.

If the other couples are telling you that thier child is terrible that says something about thier parenting not how much the baby moves. If your baby rarely kicks it could be cause for concern however. Mention it to the OB and he may suggest you do a kick count in the office.

Both of my sons were little wiggle worms in the womb, and they are perfectly well behaved.

somethimes women dont feel movemetn so much becuase the placenta may be at the front and cushioning the movements, along wiht the amniotic fluid, fat, and muscles. as long as you wife stil feels any sort of movement no matter how little then she will be ok

congratulations, and i don't think that is necessarily true. probably your baby will start moving around later, after all he or she isn't fully developed yet...
