Nice is more important in my opinion

definitely - recently i went to a training/meeting with several well off business men - when we'd finished they left their empty cups on the table and didn't even push their chairs under the table! these are basic manners and being courteous, it's as though they thought the world owed them something!!!

Yes I am with you 150% on that one: I have found over the years people who are not nice are for the most part miserably unhappy people and it makes no difference how important or rich they are.
It all goes back to the old saying. Money and Power can not buy happiness.

oh yes most definately if everyone was nice to one another and treated each as equals life would be much better and there would be much less overpopulations in jails and prisons and fewer wars. but that would be a dream world too many can't look past the outer appearance of the others.

we can all be nice & we often cross paths with people who are, but many of us forget that nice should include being genuine about it.
when you meet people who are important or think they are, genuine niceness is a rare trait amongst them & the sense of entitlement goes off the charts;
esp when they are challenged on getting their way or "inconvenienced"
though some will argue how far will "nice" really get you, so being genuine & trying to keep grounded is better way.

Yes. Manners cost nothing, but there are those who value them so highly, that they rarely use them! I used to see important people all the time in my last job, and very few were nice people.

do you know what, that is so right. it is important to be nice. why would you want to be important if you weren't an egotistical person. being nice makes others feel better. treat others as you expect to be treat yourself. if you want to be an ar2e hole go ahead, where is the reward in the that? there is none. have a star.

Always be nice.
We are all equaly important, so if one has an elevated opinion of themselves, and they mistreat others...they will be brought down, eventually.
I see it happen...all the time.
