I think that you should enjoy being 13. There will be plenty of time for boys in the future, why not enjoy spending time with your friends instead?

Don't try to grow up too soon, because once you do you can't go back and, chances are, you'll regret it.

If you mean serious dating like going to dinner or really beign by yourselves somewhere? If so, then Id say no. I know you want to date (i am 16) and when I was yoru age, i did too. But now that i have had a serious relationship with an older someone, I can see that when you are 13, you're just arent ready for those things.
But!! I did have plenty of boyfriends when i was in middle school. I went to a movie or two, and cruised the mall. Little relationships like that I see as normal and okie dokie.
Have fun dont worry. If the rents say no, its probably for your own good. ☺

In human relations it not a rule dear. Dating or not dating does not totally depend on the age, it does in the moment and feelings. It so hard to force something just because you think it age for it. That just happens. And let me tell you other thing, best thing you can do to make it happen is not be thinking about it every second, like the Beatles song says just Let it be. Many times the more you are in a hurry for it makes it not happen.

It all depends on how you are, how the guy/girl is, how their parents are and how your parents are. I would suggest you just ask your parents because families may vary, some parents may allow kids to date a 5, some at 35, so you should just ask them something like "How old were you when you started dating?" or something.

i had the same problem. i had my first boyfriend when i was 12 almost 13..he was a great guy that i had had a crush on forever. i waited i few days till after we where going out and told my mom and she turned out to be fine with it. i think 13 is a good age...you start to learn things about relasionships that you will need in high school. when he broke up with me i was heart broken but i also became a little bit stronger and i learned alot from it. i say 13 is a good age :]

I think so I started dating when I was 10 and my parents didn't care. I think you are old enough.

As you are 13, it's up to your parents.

Go to them and say, "I want to set fair rules for dating that we can both agree on." That way, they will be more likely to allow it (although they will set some rules, it's better than them just not allowing you to date until you're 16 or whatever).

You could ask your parents. It seems you are wanting their approval anyway. Alot will depend on the way they were raised. You might start out by asking Mom (Dad) how old were you when you started dating?
