I would make sure your speech is personal, meaningful, and sincere.

Maybe share a few of your memories of you and your sister growing up, especially any that involved wedding planning or wedding dress up. You should also express that you are excited to have her husband as a new member of your family (if it is sincere).

Write down a few notes to look at while reading, but you don't have to write out the whole speech word for word.

You will do great! The fact that you are concerned about what you will say shows that you are a very caring sister!

Find out whether you're expected to give a speech. It happens, but isn't standard. If you express an interest, though, your sister will most likely be happy to let you even if she hadn't planned on it.

As to what you should say, speak from the heart. Talk about your sister and what she means to you. Say a few graceful words about her groom, and welcome him to the family. You don't need to speak for very long or make it involved. Just keep it sincere, and I'm sure you'll do fine.

As of maid of honor you speech/ toast should be simple and sweet. I suggest sharing some of the great memories you had growing up, or 1 particular fun story. Then let the couple know they are loved and how proud of them you are and welcome you new brother in law to the family.

Find a wedding card that has a line in it that you like. Make that line the last line you say in your speech. Build back from that and talk about weddings in general and how it relates to them.
Keep it undr one minute. Before the wedding, practice! practice! practice!
