Well lets see, first of all there are things that may affect your ability to sleep, that u may be doing without realizing it. for example coffee really late, exercise before going to bed get your adrenaline going therefore your body not ready 4 sleep. maybe you cant sleep during the day so u nap then not sleepy atnight, eating late at night, stress, anxiety, and many more. My suggestion is look at what could be the cause of your insomnia then fix or modify it, this may be all u need to do to get some sleep. If u cant find any cause in your behavior that may be the cause then try tea, milk, yoga, etc.
well good luck and sleep tight.

First of all, stop worrying about sleep.Only your sleep pattern might have changed.Whether you get sleep or not, go to bed early at a fixed time daily.Try to put the time in good use till you actually sleep---just like remembering things like the capitals of countries or names of films that a particular actor has acted etc. In that process you may blessfully fall asleep. But stop worrying about sleep. Do not take cofee or alchohol before going to bed.

if your 21 or older then just have a glass of wine or something before you go to sleep. maybe a beer. Just enough to release the days tension and make your body relax. not enough to get you drunk. I'm a diagnosed insomniac that has prescribed pills and I dont like taking them because they make me so groggy. I nights that I just can't fall asleep no matter what and I have a big day ahead of me, I drink a small glass of sangria and it's just enough for me to relax my mind so I can lay down and sleep.

You can try drinking calming teas, count sheep. You can also try going to the gym because that will stimulate a better sleep cycle or just try masturbating right before you go to sleep that shold also help because it works in the same way as exercise.
