Yes, but it takes time. You are probably experiencing chemical withdraws from not being around that person. The hypothalamus in your brain produces different peptides depending on the mood your in. These peptides or BCAA's will be dispersed into your body and attach themselves to your cells. Your cells will even crave certain peptides that they have become attached too over a period of time. And yes your body will create peptides that are associated with your feelings for someone that you love. To make a long story short you can truly become chemically addicted to someone you love. And the pain, anxiety, and emptiness that you feel when you are not around a loved one is very real, but it will fade in time.

I dont ever think you can completly stop loving someone. Once you develop strong feelings like that for someone they are hard to just throw away. Something will happen a song; a movie; ect. that will remind you of them. But in time it gets easier... i hope

hi hun, yes it is very possible to stop loving someone, i was with my partner for over eleven years, we went through thick and thin together, through hell and high waters, and one day i woke up and realised i didnt want to be with him anymore, i didnt love him anymore,i had fallen out of love with him.
i didnt want him anywhere near me, couldnt stand the site of him, or the smell of his aftershave, and so didnt let him so much as hug me cos i couldnt stand the thought of him being near me.sad i know but sometimes as you get older you get wiser, and the person you fell in love with back in the beginning you end up staying with because your either scared of being on your own or you are just with him through habit. if your not happy and you no longer love him or her then tell them and go from there , i have found although it can be painful its better to be totally honest in these situations, my partner and i although we are split up are really good friends still which is cool. truthte11er

Honestly, I think its impossible. But I do believe the strength of the your love for a person can be diminished. I've learned that when you fall in love with a guy and it doesn't work, but you keep in contact with that person, the love stays strong. But if you pull away from this person and lose contact with them you learn to move on but still have love for them..

That's a tricky question. I think that the feeling can fade with time but you never "stop" loving someone.

Yes!!!
If you stop focusing on that person, and focus what's important in life, then you forget about loving that person, just STOP thinking about that person, and focus on other stuff, and you'll get over him.......

I Hopep I Helped!

GOOD LUCK!!!

i think if you truley loved someone they will always hold a piece of your heart and as time goes on you will only remeber the good memories.
