The scriptures say...we never know but that we might be entertaining angels. We should be kind to all. Jesus gave us a new command that we love each other.
He said all will know that you are my disciples if you have love among yourselves.

Juju is right in that in the Bible Jesus says that his sheep will hear his voice and will listen to him, so, this means that those who will shut the door and not listen to the message are not righthearted and are not his sheep. The thing is, God had assigned Jesus the preaching and warning work when he was on earth and he has done so to his faithful people today also, we follow the example of Jesus, and go and warn people of the coming destruction, but if people do not heed the warning, and refuse to listen to his voice, then they will have no excuse when the time comes and they do not receive help from God in their time of turmoil because they did not want to know.

I don't know that I would open the door in the first place. I would hope that Jesus would understand my apprehension given the dangerous times in which we live.
As I go from door to door, I try to empathize with the people I'm calling on. I know that most are not expecting me at their doors that day. Most do do not know me. We live in "critical times hard to deal with". I take all of this into account when dealing with people and do my best to reassure them. Jesus would too.

One, I would think that Jesus was a jerk for having that as a test.
Two, I've never not invited anyone into my home when they've come knocking. I have, however, kicked people out for being asses, though. So I guess it depends on if Jesus acts like a jerk while in my home.
Three, I'm not Christian, so I don't know why Jesus would want to come to my house and test my faithfulness.
On dying:
"Pervading our culture is the notion that life is a test, and following one's chance at it, we either pass and go to heaven, or flunk and suffer eternally in hell. Death is opening the final Report Card when you have a strong suspicion you flunked Humanity; if you fail, your Father will send you to a place worse than military school or the convent, and never speak to you again."
- "True Magick: A Beginners Guide" by Amber K
If any god is like that, I don't want anything to do with him. Thats not love. Thats not even like. What a jerk god he is.

How exactly do you shut the door when someone is knocking?... Do you people have some magical ability to doubly shut your doors?... I wouldn't shut the door on anyone who has a reason other than selling me something for knocking on the door, though I wouldn't particularly want the person on the other side to be Jesus (nor would I be too happy to learn an asshole of a God was testing me and I get stuck in the place where one doesn't get to experience pain or disappointment)

that is what I keep saying. because we do that same thing that Jesus Christ did, going door to door. they say they would never shut the door, but I bet you they would. the ones wearing a white shirt and black pants are mormons. we as Jehovah Witnesses do not ride bikes either

Why would he be knocking on an open door? And if the door is SHUT so he can knock on it, how would I be able to 'shut the door on him'? Assuming you're asking whether or not I would OPEN the door in the first place if I heard him knocking, that would depend on what he replied when asked thru the closed door, 'who's there?' Is he announcing himself, or pretending to be a Jehovas Witness?
Be clearer with your questions. That one was awful.

I think its like anytime I open the front door. First I look out the peep hole. Then I asked for their name. If I don't know them, I don't answer the door.
So, if jesus was knocking on my door, I'd ask "who dat" and if I got no reply...I'd probably call the police that there was a stalker or other strange man at the door.
