If she's willing to take them and you're comfortable with the level of care she'll provide relax and enjoy! Not everyone has a grandma that will take the kids for the weekend! They'll probably enjoy spending the time with her. I always loved staying at my Grandmas!

I soooo know how you feel I have 3 boys and never get a brake I was actually giving up a FREE vacation to the outer banks, NC just to get a little me time but finally decided that if the husband would take the kids to his mothers for two days to give me a brake that would be good enough. I haven't sent them anywhere without me in 6 years so this is a huge step. Take the break it is well deserved for Moms sanity.

You're not a bad mother. Everybody needs a break. It makes you a better mother by keeping yourself more rounded. You have to have some time away from the kids to keep yourself sane. I would let them go. They would probably enjoy a little change of scenery too. Just try to have fun this weekend doing things that you don't get to do when you have the kids.

It would not make you a bad parent to send your kids to their grandmothers for the weekend, everyone needs a brake. I am sure that the grandmother would love to have some time to herself with the kids and I bet the kids would love to go and spend some time with their grandmother by themselves also. My niece loves going down to MawMaw and PawPaws house by herself. We don't do it all the time but about 1 or 2 times a month,my dad will stop down and pick her up and take her for a few hours. She really enjoys the time alone with them.

Why would that make you a bad mother? Assuming your children's grandmother is not a bad person, it is good for children and grandparents to spend time together and it's certainly good for parents to get time alone.
My daughter spent her first weekend with my parents in January when she was 18 months old while my husband and I went away for the weekend. Everyone had a great time.
Letting your child spend time with the others who love them is part of being a GOOD parent.

Everyone needs time to themselves!! Take the break girl and enjoy it!! I am glad i am not the only one that feels that way!! I have a friend who gets rid of hers every weekend and i do not agree with that, but once or twice every month makes you a better Mom!! Takes some of the stress off!! It is good for us!!!

If you don't take care of yourself, you can't be in the best condition to take care of your children. We all need a break once in a while. Your a great Mom for realizing that, and how wonderful for them to spend time with Grandma and not an institution.

Well then I must be the worst parent in history. Give yourself a well deserved break. Don't over think things. Besides this hopefully will refresh you and make you that much better a parent in the up coming times.

If grandma's is safe, let them go. It's good for them and will be fun for her.
The fact that it's a bonus for you and a break is pure icing. Do not feel guilty for being human!! We all need breaks in order to be our best. Start thinking about what you're going to do with all that free time!
