Kind of... although I often add an H, a preposition, the indefinate article, and the words "popsicle" and "stick."
I gotta stop doing that...............

Yeah. I just read through the answers about whether the story of Job inspired anyone. I see the story as sick and cruel yet there were some who answered that they wished they were that faithful! Ugh.
At one point I almost said 'Oh, God' but the fact that is a learned sociological reaction would completely be lost on some.

LOL... Sure. That or similar words are a knee jerk reaction when faced by the preposterously fantastic and unbelievably stupid.
It's a statement of profound shock and pity rolled into one, and it gets a lot of exercise right here at Y/A.

Try Zounds, the irony of that is that it refers to the stigmata but most people don't know that. so you would still be using a religious word as a swear.

The best one I see the most often is some variation of:
The Bible is true because in the Bible it says it was written by God, and if it is written by God then it must be true.
I always get a good laugh out of it.

Using Christ's name as a curse word is conventional and meaningless. People also drop the "F-bomb" without the notion of sexual intercourse ever crossing their minds.

You can work to get rid of that by finding a more interesting expression to use instead.
I prefer the expression "Holy son of a monkey!"
