Where did the media find these people? Part of the problem could be that our educational system is far behind and not as well financed as many other countries. The public educational system in the United States has been deplorable for years and money keeps getting whittled away for programs ranging from the arts to everything else. Costa Rica has a better educational system than the United States; I know because I lived there for a year. A family member of mine lived in England for a number of years during the 1950s and ended up skipping two grades when he came back the United States in 1955. I know of many families who are saving in order to send their children to private schools so that they can give their children a chance at a real education and not one where the state lowers the standards in order to get students to "pass and graduate high school." We shouldn't be coddling our children because we fear ruining their self-esteem. We also shouldn't be taking away money from the school system to fund other products. Our educational system needs a revamp so that we challenge our children and provide them with a better chance at life.

Americans are indeed very ignorant compared with people from other countries in the world.They don't seem to know what's going on in places outside the US and yet they still think their country is the greatest.Many of them don't seem to know there's a world out there.It 's a pity .They should be more informed,more exposed and more humble to learn things around them.They are no doubt very warm and friendly lot of people.I do like them though I have to admit they are not that knowledgeable.No offense.

I could go to any country and spend hours videotaping and get enough footage to get the same results. Besides the fact that one of those guys looked like he was crazy.

Crap, I think that had to of been framed to just put dumb people on that. I knew all those answers or at least most of them.
No Americans are not dumb, some just careless about being informed or knowledgable.
