Don't take any notice of some of those nasty previous comments... good on you for aiming high. I'm planning to apply to Oxford too and I'm sick of feeling embarrassed every time someone asks me where I want to go next year. Be proud to be clever, you'll get somewhere in your life.

Unfortunately, neither Oxford nor Cambridge currently offer Dentistry courses, but there are some other really good UK universities that do: Birmingham, Dundee, Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle, etc. I know you might be disappointed to hear this, but really it's your subject that matters most and not the university. You're only 14, so you still have plenty of time to make up your mind about what it is you want to study at uni.

If you're sure it's Dentistry, focus on getting as good grades in your GCSEs as you can. When the time comes to choose your A-Levels, I would advise you to pick Biology and Chemistry, along with a further science/maths subject or any other subject that you're really interested in. Most unis ask for AAB at A-Level.

Good luck with all your studying and decision making! I'm sure you'll do well. :o)

Clever is good, it will get you dates.

Study the hard math, Algebra,Geometry.Calculus also Earth Science, Chemistry,Biology, Physics, and start looking at the exams now to find out what you need to do to prepare for Uni.

Without good grades mate the only thing you'll be doing with teeth is pickin 'em

You can't learn dentistry with your wits, I tried other fields and went to uni at 39. Don't be daft lile me,Two of my kids finished before I did.

Talk to the counselor at your school. Since you are so clever, do a search on the net. You can find out the requirements for dental school, I am sure.
